The development of baby's motor skills

Babilou Family Luxembourg

In nurseries KidsCare, we are committed to supporting baby in his acquisition of motor skills. To do this, we want him to have as much freedom of movement as possible, while being safe. The age period between 0 and 5 years is one of the major stages in the child's motor development. To grow well, improve motor progress and avoid retardation, we are convinced that babies must have their own experiences. Let's see this together!

Free movements to be aware of your body

Within our structures, you discover that babies are put in conditions that allow them to become aware of their body and their senses. Baby's development goes through the discovery of his limbs: his head, his stomach, his hand, his finger, his leg... With us, children are installed in a position that never puts them in difficulty or discomfort. They can develop reflexes on their own and seek solutions on their own in order to strengthen their autonomy.

Development of discovery areas

In order to participate in the proper development of baby's fine motor skills, we have set up psychomotricity modules. These promote in particular awakening through games and learning to walk. The child can practice walking using grab bars, grab objects placed within reach, pull or push. He will even be able to manipulate a sensory ball, a particularly prolific object for the development of the child.

In addition, we also highlight the Snoezelen. This method aims to improve multisensory development in a warm environment for the little one, and for his parents. Colored lights, soft music, new flavors, good smells...Children explore on their own and take the time to discover. In order to limit unnecessary frustrations, we make it a point of honor that the equipment is always accessible to babies, on shelves or open furniture.
